I have written for Backpacker Magazine, The Washington Post, The Washington Post Magazine, Transitions Abroad, SHAPE Magazine, and the Asahi Evening News, as well as for The Backcountry Llama/Pack Animal Magazine during my stint as editor. I am currently working on an historical fiction novel set in Redstone, Colorado at the turn of the 20th century.
The main focus of my work as a corporate librarian for The Washington Post, the architecture firm Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, and the library of the American Museum of Natural History was image digitization, storage, and retrieval.
Most recently, I was the editor and publisher of The Backcountry Llama, later known as Pack Animal Magazine, for eight years.
In June 2022, I completed The Denver Audubon Community Naturalist Training.
